With the TRAIN Law in full effect, customs brokers and other industry stakeholders must re-train themselves for how they must work in our country's new tax environment. The good news is, they do not have to re-think nor re-learn their processes from the ground up. For the average licensed customs broker, all they need is a quick update and orientation to get themselves squared away and back on their feet.
If you are a licensed customs broker that is used to old processes and wants an easy way to understand what has changed, this course is perfect for you. There is no one better to orient you than the TRAIN Man himself: Prof. Jesus G. Llorando, Ph.D., LCB. He claims this title as he was assigned by the Bureau of Customs to train more than 500 assessment officers and collectors throughout the country. He was involved in the planning and implementation of the TRAIN law from a customs duties and revenue collection perspective.
In this course, you will learn about the general objectives of the law as well as the strategies the government will implement to achieve those goals. The course also discusses where the law has fallen short and possible ways that it may be abused. It then goes into detail discussing how have the new excise tax rates changed, comparing the old and new rates, and how they have affected the more popular importation goods. Finally, the last section will provide sample computations for the practical-minded.
This seminar was filmed live at City State Tower hotel on April 14, 2018, in front of a live audience. This online course has been fully accredited by the CPD Council for Customs Brokers, with CPD Accreditation # 2011-002-141.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to create a course?
